Trinity Industries, Inc. is seeking a Veteran Recruiting Program Manager to lead efforts for our veteran recruiting strategy and veteran candidate lead generation. As the Veteran Recruiting Program Manager, you will be part of the Recruiting Programs team driving the right leads to our recruiters through events, relationships, and technology. The Veteran Recruiting Program Manager will also assist with driving internal veteran engagement by organizing meetings, groups, and other veteran retention efforts.
More on your role with Trinity:
• Build relationships with key stakeholders of targeted recruitment centers, military transition professionals, and other community members of influence to attract the right candidate leads.
• Travel and attend various military hiring events; 35-50% domestic travel to attend hiring events and build strategic relationships.
• Use provided technology to capture candidate information while at events.
• Provide training to recruiters and hiring managers on military hiring.
• Design, implement, and execute effective talent acquisition strategies for geographic areas experiencing high growth.
• Participate and champion various internal veteran efforts including the internal veteran employee group.
• Prepare and manage Veteran Recruiting Program budget.
• Prepare presentations and/ or reports, as needed, to convey recruiting information to business leaders.
• Partner with Senior Manager, Programs, to design website, ads, and other marketing / branding materials to communicate the Trinity Employer Value Proposition.
• Participate in other recruiting events to attract and source candidates as needed. Occasional weekend work required.
This is the experience we are looking for:
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
• 3+ years of experience working in corporate recruiting.
• 2+ years of experience managing veteran recruiting initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.
• Proven knowledge of military culture, rank, job titles, and the military transition process.
• Proven communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal).
• Experience delivering presentations to both large and small groups of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OFCCP requirements for veteran hiring.
• Passion for military hiring and retention.
• Prior military service highly desired.
