In this role, the selected individual will be responsible for building a compensation system, structure, and communication and training of compensation-related programs for the company and its business unites.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in the building of compensation systems, structures and communication and training of compensation-related programs for the company and its business units
  • Provide strong analytical support, ongoing research, complex modeling and compensation analysis for primarily base pay and short-term incentive programs for all exempt and hourly employees
  • Responsible for leading the annual compensation process for assigned business units
  • Review job specific market data and make recommendations with respect to a job’s market value and/or incumbent’s pay
  • Educate internal clients regarding the company’s compensation practices
  • Review and evaluate compensation programs to ensure they are in compliance with wage and hour laws, minimum wage, FLSA, and other state and federal compensation regulations
  • Work with business unit and plant HR representatives across the company by responding to inquiries, running reports, etc.
  • Submit and analyze salary surveys, primarily external, to ensure competitive pay practices
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum eight years of ongoing experience with the integration of compensation programs with Finance, Payroll, and HRIS
  • Advanced computer skills of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • PeopleSoft HRIS, MS SharePoint and Kronos experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently given direction and guidance but little supervision
  • Ability to learn company specific applications
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, co-workers, and external contacts
