TrinityRail is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to work with our Lease Accounting team at the Dallas, Texas headquarters. This individual:

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes

• Perform account reconciliations, analyze and resolve discrepancies

• Recommend and implement process and control enhancements

• Participate in monthly accounting close

• Prepare variance analysis and explanations

• Provide management support and assistance as necessary

• Support internal control documentation and processes

• Prepare audit schedules

• Support Lease Accounting activities

• Prepare TrinityRail financial, operational, and statistical reports

• Support Trinity Industries SEC reporting pertaining to the Leasing & Rail Management segment

Required:

• Up to 3 year’s experience in similar environment

• Public Accounting Experience (Big 4 preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative

• Willing to work as necessary to complete assignments

• Effective communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification (or actively pursuing)

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance

• Familiar with Oracle Financials

• Familiar with Hyperion Essbase

• Creative and innovative
