In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform professional level accounting work of a varied to complex nature under the general direction of an Accounting Manager. Consolidate books of account for a diverse group of businesses. Responsible for the timely and accurate recording/reporting of costs utilizing sophisticated manufacturing and accounting systems. Provide financial analysis and support to plant level and corporate level management.

• Monitors cost and capital spending activity

• Performs month end closing activities in an accurate and timely manner

• Makes journal entries in the general ledger

• Prepares monthly financial statements and reports

• Assists in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

• Conducts various cost system studies and analysis

Requirements:

• Experience with preparing journal entries and participating in month end closing in a computerized accounting environment preferred

• Experience with Excel spreadsheets to include some of the advanced functions such as pivot tables, V look-up, and H look-up. Macros exposure a plus but not required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Familiarity with MRP systems preferred

• Knowledge of ESSBASE preferred
