Trinity Industries is searching for a Commodity Manager in our Dallas, TX office.
- Use analytical skills to strategically analyze spending data for improvement opportunities
- Enable proactive risk management, supplier development to reduce the total cost of ownership for materials, and engender a culture of cost reduction
- Develop supply risk and mitigation plans and strategic spend analysis to facilitate cost reduction opportunities
- Develop a supplier rating program with on-going supplier reviews that contain improvement initiatives, increased contract spend coverage, and negotiation of supplier logistics agreements that will enable an initiative to increase supply chain flexibility without increasing inventory
