- Ensures the company is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations required in a manufacturing environment
- Coordinates daily facility record keeping and compliance assurance activities.
- Inspects work and hazardous waste storage areas and/or work practices to ensure compliance with environmental rules and objectives.
- Instructs employees and supervisors on proper practices and techniques.
- Reviews and analyzes company safety and environmental practices by conducting audits and determines any recommendations based on audits performed.
- Analyzes, collects, and maintains essential data for effective safety and environmental programs.
- Maintains an understanding of applicable federal, state and local regulations at all plant locations.
- Provides training to plant personnel including handlers of hazardous waste and hazardous materials.
- Develops and maintains analytical reports related to facility’s safety/environmental conditions.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of training, inspections, audits, and required regulatory documentation.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Safety Coordinator in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment or an Associates degree in Safety and Occupational health
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in MS Office
