Lead Painter
- May be used for employees who have full knowledge of the job duties and can operate a broad range of machines, tools, equipment etc.
- Work is somewhat complex
- Requires little or no help from supervisors or others to complete assigned tasks
- Requires instruction only on new assignments
- Complete understanding of the job, company policies and processes
- Applies extensive experience, knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
- May operate specialized equipment and/or understand complex drawings and diagrams
- May have completed an apprenticeship and/or formal training
- Maintains technical certificates as required
- Work requires planning and judgment
- Determines and develops approaches to solve a broad range of complex problems
- May serve as a problem solving resource to others
- Leads team
- Requires advanced knowledge of all the primer and painting processes
- Used for employees who are considered working leads/lead workers
- May be required to fill-in so that production goals can be met
- Trains, instructs and directs work activities of employees
- Level 3 plus
- Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Should be customer service & people orientated
- Must be able to effectively organize the workflow of the production environment
- Must be able to plan the day-to-day task of the team
- 4 – 6+ years of related paint experience preferred
- Previous supervision experience is a plus!
- Day Shift (start time, 5:00 AM)
