Career Welder
TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements describe general duties and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
Welds and repairs casting defects using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
- Visually inspects castings for needed welds.
- Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
- Follows AAR required weld procedures.
- Performs general housekeeping /clean-up in work area.
- Completes daily required logs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Able to recondition and repair castings.
- Must be able to perform "C" level position.
- Ability to operate welding equipment.
- Must be able to pass FCAW and SMAW certification weld tests.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Ability to function as a team member, establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Desirable Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience or completion of technical school.
