- Prepares all models and fabrication drawings of tubular pole structures and related hardware using SolidWorks software.
- Discusses project requirements directly with persons for whom the work is being done.
- Works with fabrication facilities to resolve any problems that may arise during fabrication.
- Performs other duties and accept responsibilities to insure the overall success of the department.
- Prepare models and drawings on a computer system under minimum supervision, working from verbal and written instruction, marked prints, sketches and engineering design calculations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of Solid Works training program and a minimum of 2 years experiencing using the software.
- Is familiar with drafting standard symbols, nomenclature, reference books and catalogs normally encountered in the product development process.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, both verbal and written.
- SolidWorks/Inventor Software Skills test is required
- Two years of experience preparing drawings for Tubular poles.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Steel Structures drafting process, and the ability to convey this information to others.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to work in an open office environment.
